Three Miles as the Mosquito Flies: from the Mosquito to the Missouri

A historical look at Council Bluffs, south into Lewis township, the South Omaha Bridge Road and Lake Manawa! The Historical Society, Preserve Council Bluffs and the Council Bluffs Public Library take you out of town once again - this time from the city limits to the county line, between Mosquito Creek and the Missouri River.

Take a look at the many businesses that have come and gone along the South Omaha Bridge road, including Cerv's Miniature Golf and the C.B. Drive-In, and the more nefarious ones, and find out why that road was built so far from town in the first place. Learn about the development of Twin Plaza, Riverside Park, and the three radio stations whose transmitters called that area home.
