Fall Local Author Fair

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 10/17/2024

Council Bluffs, IA - On Sunday, November 17 from 1 to 3 p.m., Council Bluffs Public Library will be hosting a Local Author Fair.

You are invited to meet and greet the authors, purchase books, and ask questions about their books, research, or writing process. Authors will be stationed in the main area of the library so library visitors can easily walk around and visit with these literary guests of honor.

The local author fair has been an event at the Council Bluffs Public Library for several years now and the Library is honored to host many familiar and new faces this time around. One such face will be Theodore (Ted) Wheeler, whose most recent book The War Begins In Paris is the current Omaha Reads selection. This novel centers on two female war correspondents whose lives become intertwined in the midst of the chaotic World War. Wheeler's previous historical fiction title, Kings of Broken Things, is based on the true events of the Omaha Race Riots of 1919.

Local mystery writer Sadie K. Frazier, whose work is sure to keep you guessing and reading, will also be at the Local Author Fair. Frazier's published books include Brewed to Perfection and If Bones Could Talk, to name a few. This local author has helped with workshops and writer's groups in the area in addition to crafting her own stories.

Other local writers such as Stephen St. Clare, whose titles include The Sight of Love, Mt. Hope, and The Sound of Love. T.E. Mantil, Edie Goodwin, Mandi Oyster, Sam Bostwick, E.G. Rutledge, Rob Lindquist, Susan Jungman, Riley J. Perrie, and more will be at the Local Author Fair!

Genres include mystery, psychological thriller, science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, local lore, paranormal, young adult, and even youth titles.
