Event Details

The Historical Society of Pottawattamie County's popular "Get Out of Town" program series continues Monday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Council Bluffs Public Library. Stemming from an idea by HSPC member Jon Barnes to focus on areas of the county beyond just Council Bluffs, this installment of the program will look at the history of the area south of the city to the county line.

Program co-presenter Troy Stolp notes this is an area rich with history from our very earliest times, including the site of an ossuary of our first known inhabitants and the mustering grounds of the only division in American military history ever based on religion.

Presented by Jon Barnes, Troy Stolp, and Richard Warner.
